In the refining and petrochemical industrial sector, large amounts of energy are used, so using concept exergy allows a rational use this resource. different exergoeconomics studies applied in plants, parameters interest have been determined to evaluate thermal efficiency, potential for process improvement, irreversibilities produced by interaction between components system operation each one, costs associated with these irreversibilities. This paper presents an advanced analysis exergy-economic nitric acid production plant installed capacity 350 metric tons per day, whose operating principle is based on Ostwald method, both behavior endogenous destruction exogenous, avoidable unavoidable studied, heat transfer equipment reactive that make up plant, about cooling temperature intermediate stages compression train studied mathematical model.
